The IEA Team
The Best of The Best
Want to compete, but don't have a horse? Join IEA!!
We are wrapping up our 2019-20 season with our high school team and 10 of our riders heading to semi finals. Let’s send some to zones!! Our team had 24 riders this year, competing in every level from Intro to Open and we had our first ever Dressage team too. We hosted 3 shows in the 2019-20 season, in September, November and in February.
The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) gives High School and Middle School and now 4th and 5th grade riders across the country a fun, challenging and nationally recognized way to compete. Shows are held during the school year. The regular season starts in September, with "playoff" type competitions for riders who qualify from March though June. As in Intercollegiate competition (IHSA & NCEA), horses and tack are provided at shows, leveling out the competition and keeping costs down.
IEA is not just for Hunter Jumper riding. We also offer Dressage!
We are midway through the season and have a few riders with just 1 point to qualify. New riders are always welcome. Want to give it a try? We practice Sundays and Wednesdays. Contact Judy for details.
Last year, we had a great 2018-19 season, finishing the year with 14 riders, 7 in high school and 7 in middle school. 4 of our riders qualified for semi-finals.
We hosted our first IEA home show September 2018 with just 5 teams. In November 2019 we hosted 13 teams! IEA is growing strong. Catch the wave!
